Cortexolone
Cortexolone is the precursor of cortisol. Accumulation of Cortexolone can happen in a defect known as congenital adrenal hyperplasia, which is due to 11-beta-hydroxylase deficiency, resulting in androgen excess, virilization, and hypertension.
